Before hiring a contractor ... do your homework!

Did You Know that under Washington State law*, YOU may be liable for the unpaid workers' compensation (industrial insurance) premiums of any business you hire or contract with?  In the construction industry, you can protect yourself from liability for your subcontractor's unpaid premiums.  ALWAYS HIRE SOMEONE WHO IS LICENSED, BONDED & INSURED.

Please make sure the contractors employees are covered under workmanscomp through Labor &  Industries.  Always make sure to ask for a business license # and their business name.  Heads Up: They should never use another contractors license to do the work!
